The balance between rest, play and work is important to our lives and sometimes can tilt more towards work than rest and play. In modern society work and striving is recognized as an achievement where rest is seen as a privilege, instead of something necessary to our wellbeing.

Rest is Important. Rest and play support creativity, our ability to work smarter and it gives us the energy to work and play. Rest practices address symptoms of stress, anxiety and burnout, and improve our general wellbeing. So we offer you a time to rest.

In this 2 hour practice you will move through a gentle grounding flow in seated and reclined forms. As you flow, you transition towards a resting form to practice yoga nidra. Yoga nidra is also known as guided rest. Kathleen’s yoga nidra practice is based on the IRest program, which includes progressive muscle relaxation, guided visualization and breathing practice
